We welcome you to our church and pray you’ll join us. Wesley draws worshipers from across the metro area; embraces people of every age, culture and economic means; and stands ready to receive you.
We offer numerous educational and fellowship opportunities including:
- Sunday School - which meet 9:15 a.m. Sundays. We welcome the faithful, the seekers and the doubters to join one of our many groups for fellowship and spiritual growth. We have a nursery for infants and toddlers.
- United Methodist Men – meets 6 p.m. the first Monday of each month for a dinner and program.
The group also hosts a pancake breakfast twice a year to support local missions and the physical maintenance of the church. - United Methodist Women – has two groups that meet the second Tuesday of each month for worship, study and fellowship. The groups meet as a whole four times a year and sponsor several projects that support local and global ministries.
- Wesley’s Lay Care Team – meets 10 a.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month in the church library, to share encounters from visits to members who are homebound or in assisted living centers and unable to attend church.
- Explorers – meet for breakfast at 8:30 a.m.-9:15 a.m. the first Sunday of each month in the Fellowship Hall. The group, which crisscrosses all ages and Sunday School classes, sponsors a variety of activities, including Thanksgiving, Valentine and St. Patrick’s Day dinners, an Easter sunrise service, Spring crafts festival and pumpkin patch.
- The Wesley Adults – meet for a covered dish lunch and program the third Thursday of each month at the church. Adults of all ages take a variety of trips to interesting places during the year.
- Athletics – Believing athletics help “build the temple” for Christ, members of Wesley participate in a variety of city sports programs.
- Music – Wesley has choirs for children and for youth, as well as a sanctuary choir that practices 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday evenings. Other choirs include a women’s ensembles, children’s choir and various bell choirs.
- Drama – Drama teams of youth and adults act out God’s message in worship services, as well as present full-length productions.
- Wesley’s Boy Scout Troop #23 - meets 7 p.m. every Monday night in the fellowship hall.
- Youth - Open to sixth- through 12th-graders, this dynamic and diverse group typically meets 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sundays. Activities include Bible studies, fellowship, worship, mission work, field trips and participation in conference events, including summer camp at Canyon Camp. The group alternates between Crown Heights United Methodist and Wesley United Methodist for their weekly meeting location.
